Where are the prophets of old? Who when faced with persecution would look at them and say "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard."
Where are the prophets of old? Who when faced with crucifixion would say "I am not worthy to be crucified in the same position as my Savior. Please nail me to the cross upside down."
Where are the prophets of old? Who are willing to live in chains and in prison, scourged and beaten, rather than compromise the Word of God.
Where are the prophets of old? Who are willing to pay the price to keep themselves Holy and Pure and Clean in the eyes of God.
Where are the prophets of old? Who would rather die than defile themselves.
Where are the prophets of old? Who love God more than their own lives.
My God, My God, May I be such a prophet!
Where are the prophets of old? Who went to a place because God told him to. Not because there was an offering to be had.
Where are the prophets of old? Who would travel a great distance just to speak to one man.
Where are the prophets of old? Who are willing to live a life of solitude. Who are willing to travel alone. Who do not need an entourage, or the applause of a crowd, or the accolades of man. Their only food was the approval of the God whom they serve.
My God, My God, May I be such a prophet!
Where are the prophets of old? Who are more concerned about speaking the UNCOMPROMISED Word of God than they are about receiving an offering.
Where are the prophets of old? Spoken of in Hebrews " ...who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouth of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again. Others tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. Still others had trials of mocking and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented....of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth"......Where are these prophets of old?

Where are the prophets of old? Who are willing to weep over the condition of the church. Who are willing to cry out.... cry out to their God on behalf of the church.
Where are the prophets of old? Who are willing to mourn, and grieve, and fast, and pray over the condition of My church?
MY GOD, MY GOD, MAKE ME SUCH A PROPHET!
